I Heard This and LOVED It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the Florida Creativity Weekend, I attended <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecreativehome.com\/pages\/our-story\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles Rattner\u2019s environmental design session<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and realized that my passion for design, ethnography, and seeing how environment affects human behavior now has a name: <\/span><b>environmental psychology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! Learning this has me reflecting on how to incorporate environmental design into my research methodologies. Read on\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some cool tidbits:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to think more analytically? Surround yourself with the color red and low ceilings. Want to think more creatively? Imagine if I took it one step further, not just analyzing the product itself but analyzing the space as a whole. How could I offer recommendations for making a space more conducive to creative thought? <\/span><b><i>\u201cSpace scanning\u201d<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a service \u00a0I\u2019d love to explore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When I reflect on Rattner\u2019s session, I realize that, for me, it wasn\u2019t just about redesign in the context of physical space. It was also about <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">redesigning<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> my goals and my passions. Redesign is an exciting concept when you approach it metaphorically. Sometimes, it just takes that \u201cexternal lightbulb\u201d to illuminate something within you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re as excited about environmental design as I am, let me know.
